New Gilligan's Island Movie

New Gilligan's Island Movie
Rumors are spreading through the media about a re-make film of the popular 60's television series Gilligan's Island. I found different sources all having different cast for the characters. On most sources I found, the creator of Gilligan's Island Sherwood Shwartz, wants Michael Cera to play the role of Gilligan.

Other rumors say that Evangeline Lilly who plays Kate Austen on the series Lost might play the role of Mary Ann and Rachelle Lefevre, who plays a vampire Victoria in the Twilight series, may be cast for the role of Ginger.

As for the skipper, Zach Galifianakis from Hangover is rumored.

Now these are all just rumours. The role that seems most likely at this time is Michael Cera as Gilligan. All these roles seem to be filled by actors and actresses who play in films or television series aimed at a younger audience (Eg. Twilight, Superbad) I hope that this will attract younger viewers to the film and introduce them to the 60's television series that was made before their time.

I'm part of the younger audience and decided to watch it. It really was a great show!

Rules of Driving Through a Roundabout

March 8, 2010

For some reason, most Canadians look at a roundabout like an exotic maze in the middle of the road. This is probably because they are relatively new to us, and they are a little different than the European roundabouts.

After nearly being t-boned half a dozen times while driving through these. I now feel the need that something needs to be done. There needs to be more roundabout awareness to all drivers in Canada.

The most important rule when entering the roundabout is YIELD! It is different th...

Walking Your Dog While Driving

March 4, 2010
We live in a world of multi-tasking. In order to get things done, we often have to do many things at once. An English man, mulit-tasked a little too much and decided to take his dog for a walk while driving. Now I don't know if he was going somewhere important and forgot to take his dog for a walk before he left or if he was just plain lazy. He held the leash through the window and let the dog walk along side the car. He was charged $100 fine and 3 points to his license.

Flying boat car

March 2, 2010
Yes that's right. Someone has made a vehicle that travels on land, water and air. I stumbled upon this video and found it simply amazing. Think back to 1903 when the wright brothers first tried to make their plane fly. It was just over a hundred years ago and now we are creating vehicles that can not only travel in the air, but on land and water as well. It amazes me how fast technology advances.

Rrrrrroll Up the Rim Returns

March 2, 2010
It's time again for Canada's biggest fast food contest. Tim Hortons' roll up the rim started today and runs into May. The prizes are the usual free coffee, donuts and Tim Cards. The top prize is the Toyota RAV4.

Tim Hortons has put up an interesting site this year to make it more interactive. There are places to leave your winning stories, a winning map, and techniques used to roll up the rim.

I used to use the "squeeze and roll" technique. It works but it takes too long and often ruins the tab...

Crosby wins it for Canada

March 1, 2010

Crobsy comes through for Canada in the most important game of his career so far. Does he ever have a story to tell now. At the age of 22 he already has a Stanley Cup and an Olympic gold medal to his name. To score the game winning, gold medal winning goal in four on four, overtime olympic hockey is probably any hockey player's ultimate dream.

It couldn't have been written any better. For Canada to win double gold again in hockey on home soil is truly amazing! Crosby made his dream as well as ...

Stay tuned for my very first podcast soon to come!

I'm currently thinking about what my podcast will be about. I have a general idea that I'm constantly adding new ideas to. I should have it up here in a couple of weeks so keep coming back until then.

I've never done a podcast before but I'm looking forward to it! My plan is to create one weekly or bi-weekly that you can subscribe to. Once subscribed to it, you wont have to worry about downloading it. It will download all by itself whenever I ...

Musical Talent Across the Street

February 24, 2010
I love discovering new, talented, local artists. I feel like it is important to support local musicians as much as possible. This time I only had to look across the street to my neighbour Spencer Teeter.

He started writing his own music and traveled to Florida and San Francisco to record some songs. I believe it started as a solo project but when he returned back home he formed a full band called the Spencer Teeter Band. This band is going places incredibly fast. They have released ...

Chapters Makes Ordering Easy

February 18, 2010
I went to Chapters last Friday night looking for a book on Adobe Audition and was disappointed that they didn't have any books on Audition in stock. If you're like me you will most likely check the computer in the store only to find out that no other Chapters has it then leave.

I typed in Adobe Audition and a collection of books on all all different versions of Audition was displayed. I was able to browse through the books that weren't in the store and decide on what I wanted, but non...
