Hi, I'm Andrew Shepherd I was born and raised in Kitchener, ON. My father is an accountant working for a mathematics software company called Maplesoft. My mother is a registered nurse at St. Mary's Hospital. I'm thankful to have grown up in a household that values family. We have always eaten together at the dinner table. I find that says a lot about your family and feel like fewer and fewer families eat together or hardly see each other anymore. As Jimi Hendrix said, music is my religion. I love all different kinds of music. I feel like it's the universal language that is understandable from anywhere in the world. I listen to anything from Keith Urban to Rush to Skindred. But that's just the surface of my passion for music. One of my favourite past-times, other than listening to music, is playing guitar. I learned guitar when I was 16 while I was attending high school. Since then, my father and I, have collected 10 guitars and our collection continues to grow. Playing guitar is the ultimate relaxation to me. When I pluck the string of an electric guitar and hear the grinding roar, all my troubles (what little I have) seem to disappear into the waves of music that I have just created. Other hobbies I enjoy include: camping, biking, skiing, golf, running, juggling. I watch many different TV shows. My favourites right now are 24, Lost, Fringe and Dexter. I almost always have a concert waiting to attend to. I've seen Metallica, Rush, Rolling Stones, ACDC, Joe Satriani and many more. It's my goal to see as many classic rock groups as I can before they dissolve off the stage. I am currently enrolled in the Broadcast Radio course at Conestoga College. I believe that I have found my true passion and I'm loving every minute of it! |
